TL;DR
The latest Amazon Kindle Scribe models are now getting a voice typing feature.
Older Kindle Scribe models are also getting support for Sticky Notes outside of the Kindle library.
Some other Kindle models are also getting performance improvements.
Slow-refreshing e-reader displays can make typing on them quite jarring. But Amazon is rolling out a new update for certain devices that can improve the typing experience, just weeks after revealing new colorful models.
Amazon is pushing a new software update, version 5.20.1, to many Kindle devices launched since 2024. According to the release notes, this update broadly brings “Performance improvements, bug fixes, and other general enhancements.” However, a select few models are getting something extra, especially the latest generation of the Kindle Scribe.
